Netrix Spearheads IT Design for CPA Firm MiddletonRaines+Zapata New Headquarters

Bannockburn, IL — Netrix, LLC recently worked with Houston-based CPA firm, MRZ, to design their brand new 26,417-square-foot headquarters. In order to accommodate the doubling of the company’s staff, a vast increase in square footage was required. This change also gave MRZ’s leadership the hands-on opportunity to create a workspace that reflects the firm’s culture with the most up-to-date technology, while encouraging employee collaboration.

Architectural firm PDR was selected by MRZ to lead in the interior design of the space, and Netrix was engaged as the IT Architect to help create an updated and seamless technology experience for the client. Leadership at MRZ was extremely focused on the use of technology for their employees, as this was a key consideration for their new office build-out and relocation.

By leveraging Netrix’s envisioning practice to influence design, Netrix carefully listened to MRZ’s requirements and user preferences in order to choose the appropriate systems that would impeccably contribute to the client’s work environment. Keeping innovation at the forefront of the space’s design, Netrix incorporated monitor-to-TV connectivity and sharing, video conferencing, Wi-Fi capacity and scalability of systems. Beyond the technology aspect, focus rooms, convertible standing desks and open collaboration spaces were implemented to improve employee comfort while increasing productivity.

“Working with MRZ was an opportunity for Netrix to showcase our practice in Houston and the importance of an IT Architect bridging the gap between construction and Technology to deliver the full technology enabled workspace,” said Mike Gleason, Partner at Netrix. “We look forward to continue expanding our role as IT Architect on future projects that improve workplace communication and processes.”
